Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was full of praises for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), led by the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta for considering DBI Kano as an Innovation Enterprise Institute. He spoke recently at the maiden matriculation ceremony of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), National Innovation Diploma programme in Kano.

The Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta asks the institutions of the nation's security sector to sign on to a strategic partnership with the NCC to stop the activities of criminals undermining the operations of the telecommunications industry.
Danbatta stated this in Keffi, Nasarawa State this morning at the North Central Zonal Sensitization Workshop organized by the Commission for personnel of the nation's security agencies. He said the collaboration and partnership is important to enable the Commission to "move steadily in harnessing fully, the potential of telecommunications and to sustain the exponential growth in the sector in view of the central role telecommunication plays in the social and economic development of the nation".

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, earlier today met senior media executives, ICT correspondents and other communication specialists at a special interactive session held at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja to share the successes of the implementation of the 8-Point Agenda and the attendant challenges of telecom regulation.
The meeting, Danbatta said, was an expression of Management’s effort to translate into concrete action the agendum on stakeholder collaboration and partnership because the media is central among NCC’s stakeholders, “a key player in the value chain through which Commission gets feedback and on whose expertise NCC can leverage to reach out to other stakeholders about its strides and initiatives”.

The Agidingbi neighbourhood and the adjourning settlements felt the unusual presence of persons of all status yesterday when the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, stormed The Blue Roof Events Centre to unveil the YEAR OF THE NIGERIAN TELECOM CONSUMER campaign, earlier launched in Abuja on March 15, 2017, the day set aside by the global community as the World Consumer Rights Day.
