The Nigerian Communications Commission has inaugurated the new governing board of Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) on Friday 5th October 2018.
Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye who delivered the Keynote address on behalf of the Minister of Communications Technology, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Shittu noted that “ Since the establishment of the institute by NCC in 2004, Digital Bridge Institute has been training and empowering citizens in vocational and ICT skills. The NCC should be commended for continuing to provide the needed support to the institute over the years to ensure its sustainability, growth and development.”

The Nigerian Communications Commission has met with the Wireless Applications Service Providers Association of Nigeria (WASPAN) and other relevant stakeholders in the industry at its first meeting of its Bi-annual Workshop on Value Added Services Stakeholders’ Forum held on September 4, 2018 at the BWC Hotel in V.I, Lagos.
The workshop was convened to look into the operations and activities of Value Added Service-Providers (VASP), a sub sector in the telecom industry that has enjoyed exponential growth and contributing hugely in terms of revenue to the industry and government.

The Nigerian Communications Commission celebrated its Special day at the 2018 Abuja International Trade fair at JT. Useni Permanent Trade Fair Complex Airport Road on October 3rd, 2018.
In keeping with one of the Commission’s objectives of driving local as well as foreign direct investment in the country through technology as an enabler of the overall economic growth and development in Nigeria, the theme of the fair was, ‘Enhancing SMEs In Agribusinesses Through Innovative Technology’.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) organized a workshop with one of its relevant stakeholders, to discuss and proffer legal solutions to myriads of issues requiring legal attention and redress.
The Judges Workshop is an annual week long event organised by the Nigerian Communications Commission in conjunction with the National Judicial Institute (NJI) to sensitize Nigerian Judges with familiarise with emergent technologies such as use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and SIM Masking/ Refiling in order to brainstorm the legal frameworks surrounding these services.
