The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, has said all telecom infrastructure across the country are critical national assets.

Danbatta spoke recently at Sapele, Delta State at a sensitisation forum focused on the imperative of protecting telecom infrastructure.

In fulfillment of one of its functions to represent Nigeria at proceedings of international organisations and fora on matters relating to regulation of communications and matters ancillary and connected thereto, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is participating at COMMUNICASIA 2019.

Professor Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC led the Commission's delegation to the event.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has advised telecom consumers to be careful about divulging sensitive or personal information on the Internet as they leverage emergent communication technologies.

Ismail Adedigba, Head Information and Reference at Consumer Affairs Bureau of NCC stated this at the 49th Edition of the Commission's Consumer Town Hall Meeting (CTM) which took place in Udi, Enugu State recently.

The staff of the Kano Zonal Office of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) joined others residents in Kano metropolis to celebrate the recent Eid Fitr at the popular durbar.

In line with global practices, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has concluded plans to launch a number of Emergency Communications Centres (ECC) across the country.

This is part of its mandate to “Promote and enhance public safety through the use of a particular number which shall be designated as the Universal Safety and Emergency Assistance Number for telephone services generally.”
