Issue #25   •   Quarter 3/4 Edition   •   December 2018

Happy New Year and welcome to the 1st Quarter edition of 2014.

Dreams, aspirations, resolutions etc, are synonymous with a new year. In the words of C.S Lewis, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

So be inspired by the following examples:

  • Born March 14, 1902, Cole Kugel, a resident of Longmont, Colorado, USA is the oldest qualified pilot. He was born one year before the legendary Wright Brothers took to the skies, and has been flying ever since. Kugel earned his pilot's license in 1945 and flew in 2007 for the last time, aged 105.
  • The oldest man to climb Mount Kilimanjaro is Richard Byerley, who reached the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, aged 84 years 71 days, on 6 October 2011.
  • On 16 October 2011, Fauja Singh became the first 100-year-old to finish a marathon, completing the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in 8:11:06.

Have a wonderful 2014. Dream Big. Be bold.
