The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is an international organisation with headquarters in Los Angeles, United States of America, non-profit corporation that has the responsibility for Internet Protocol (IP) address space allocation, protocol identifier assignment, generic (gTLD) and country code (ccTLD) Top-Level Domain Name system management, and root server management functions.

The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) on February 01, 2018 announced a formal ICANN public comment period, which is open to receive community input on a draft plan towards proceeding with the KSK rollover project. This comment period is scheduled to elapse on April 02, 2018.

According to ICANN, the new proposed rollover date for the root zone KSK is October 11, 2018 (one year later than originally planned), amidst an extensive outreach to notify as many resolver operators as possible.

The Nigerian Communications Commission hereby inform the Internet Service Providers and Network Operators that are using DNSSEC validation on their network to make their input on the published draft via https://www.icann.org/news/blog/announcing-draft-plan-for-continuing-with-the-ksk-roll.
