The Board, Management and Staff of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) have commiserated with the family of the late Alhaji Ahmed Joda, former Chairman, Board of Commissioners of the Commission.
In a condolence letter on Friday, the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC. Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, on behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) describes the demise of late Joda, OFR, CON, HLR, who died on Friday 13th of August, 2021 at the age of 91, as an irreparable loss to the entire nation.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) are considering possible areas of increasing collaboration to enhance the impact and contribution of telecommunications sector on Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
This was the crux of deliberations during a courtesy visit by a delegation of the National Assembly Business Environment Round Table (NASSBER), a policy unit at NESG led by Nnanna Ude and a member of the technical committee of NASSBER, Yemi Keri.

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, has called for ingenious ways of collecting antiquities relevant to operations of various organisations in the country in order to preserve the relics that can bridge the knowledge gap needed for sustainable development of Nigeria.
Danbatta, who was represented by the Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management (ECSM), NCC, Adeleke Adewolu, made the call recently in Abuja, when the Commission joined in the celebration of the 2021 International Museum Day with the theme, “The future of museums: recover and reimagine.”

The attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been drawn to a publication in an online media entitled “Govt renews MTN Nigeria licence amid 20 years of GSM Phones” to the effect that the mobile operating licence of MTN has been renewed by the Commission for another period of 10 years.
The online publication, which cited regulatory filings by the NCC as its source, stated that “MTN Nigeria, the nation’s largest mobile network operator (MNO), has secured regulatory approval of the renewal of its operating licence for another 10 years with effect from September 1, 2021.”
