Before this event in Kano, same Parliament was hosted in Oyo; Edo and Kogi states respectively.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), organised a chat with one of its major stakeholders, the Media to reflect on 2018 and project the future at Ibeto Hotels, in Abuja on the 13th December, 2018.
The Director of Public Affairs, NCC, Nnamdi Nwokike said "the chat with the press is an opportunity to discuss the activities of the NCC over the past one year as well as to thank the Media”.

The theme of the roundtable session was:

The Nigerian Communications Commission held a Stakeholders Sensitization Programme on hazardous effect of Non Type Approved Handsets on humans and, impact it poses on Quality of Service and e-waste. The event was hosted at the Emir’s Palace Hall, Suleja, Niger State on December 11, 2018.
The programme is an initiative of the Nigerian Communications Commission aimed at sensitizing stakeholders on some key challenging issues in the telecommunication sector in Nigeria. The long term objective is to create regulatory awareness on the need for type approval to consolidate the exponential gains recorded in the telecommunications industry in Nigeria.
