 The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Ndi Awan, paid a familiazation visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), today to explore ways of deepening the existing collaboration between NIMC and NCC in the area of identity management in Nigeria.

Ndi Awan, who represented the Director General of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, was received at the NCC Head Office in Abuja on behalf of the EVC/CEO of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta by Mrs. Iyabode Sholanke, NCC’s Director of Projects.

The New Board and Management of Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Nigeria Ltd (EMTS), that’s 9Mobile paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Communications Commission.

The visit was led by Prince Nasir Bayero, Chairman EMTS on February 7th, 2019 at the Commissions Head Office, Abuja.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) upon due consideration of the upcoming General Elections, has decided to temporarily suspend its Direction to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) on Do-Not-Disturb (DND), in order to enable the MNOs disseminate specific information on voter education on behalf of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The NCC said that in implementing the suspension, MNOs are to be mindful of existing directives regarding the timing and regularity of such messages and the fact that the temporary suspension is only with regards to the specific messages on voters’ education.

The Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) hosts a POST-NIGERIA NATIONAL BROADBAND PLAN 2013-2018 Forum on 7th February, 2019 at the Treasury Suite and Conferences, Abuja.

The Executive Vice Chairman NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, who delivered a keynote address said it is a great honour to deliver a keynote address at the special event with the theme: “The Nigeria National Broadband Plan 2013-2018: Success, Prospects and Challenges”.

The Nigerian Communications Commission hosted a Stakeholders Forum on Financial Fraud using Telecoms Platforms on 29th January, 2019 at the Niger/ Plateau Meeting room. Transcorp Hilton-Abuja
This event was organized as a response to the inundated public complaints on the unceasing cases of Financial Fraud via the use of Telecom Platforms and is poised at seeking initiatives aimed at creating greater awareness on the issue as well as creating ways of addressing these challenges.
