The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been praised for its remarkable commitment to providing enabling environment for the growth of telecommunication in Nigeria and importantly for its exceptional performance in protecting the rights of telecom consumers.

Professor Fatima Sawa, Provost of the Federal College of Horticulture, Gombe stated this today when she led top Management of the institution to NCC Head Office to thank the Commission for its efforts in supporting tertiary institutions in Nigeria to bridge the gap in digital education.

Iyabode Solanke, NCC's Director of Projects, whose department oversees the Schools Support Programme of the Commission, received Sawa and her team on behalf of Prof. Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC. Solanke thanked Sawa for the visit and affirmed that NCC will continue to give support to ICT development in the country's education sector because of the significance of the deployment of communication technology to Nigeria's development.
