- Holds a Collaborative Meeting with LIFELINE CARE, an NGO

As a responsive Organization, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has once again tied a knot of strategic partnership and collaboration with Lifeline Care, a Non-governmental Organization whose mandate is to provide emergency aid to victims of road traffic accidents (RTAs) and other related disasters.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, represented by Philip Eretan, NCC’s Deputy Director in Consumer Affairs Bureau stated that,”NCC remains committed to supporting physically challenged citizens, in sports such as the NCC Tennis League which is currently ongoing as well as in educating the less priviledged by donating ICT equipments.

He noted that NCC is fully prepared to engage with stakeholders in strategic partnership and collaboration, including engagement with Non-Governmental Organisations especially in areas of ICT to improve the lives of Nigerians.
The NCC has initiated and built emergency centres across the states of the Federation and has provided an emergency Toll Free Line 112 to connect with people in distress and requiring emergency assistance; the 112 toll free express line allows those in distress to connect with FRSC, the Nigerian Police, NEMA and host of other humanitarian agencies.

The NCC also remains committed to deploying services to the nooks and crannies of Nigeria through NCC assist projects and that of Universal Service Provision Fund, an arm of NCC with a special mandate to take services to the unserved and underserved localities in Nigeria.
