The Presidential Task Force was set up by President Olusegun Obasanjo through the Secretariat to the Government of the Federation, to study and examine the existing Telecommunications and ICT structures and their inter relationships in Nigeria, in order to come up with recommendations to government on necessary institutional and structural framework that will result in amore effective, efficient and harmonised performance of ministries and organisations that are involved in policy marking, regulation and implementation of government policies in the telecommunications and ICT sector in the country.
